I have been to El Parian's several times. It has always been a good experience.

I upgraded my review to 5 stars. I have been here countless times since my last review and the food has been very good and the service has been outstanding. They are great with my kids and recognize my family when we come in. One thing I would recommend for them is to clean the front entry with something that doesn't have a smell. It always smells like cleaning detergent and my wife and I joke about holding our breath until we get to the fresh Mexican food smell on the other side!

Awful food. Twice had people get sick after eating here. Fool me twice, sham Update: Went with friends who were fans and it was a birthday. Didn't want to say anything, was willing to give it a third chance. Two people went to the hospital with food poisoning. Thanks, El Parasite.

I wouild give these guys 2 1/2 stars actually. It's not bad and the service is good. It isn't that close to our house, so I wouid say it is good enough if you live nearby, but not worth a trip. One daughter and I got the taco and burrito combo. The taco was good, and the burrito just tasted like taco meat wrapped in a torilla. It has a red sauce on it. My wife got some combo plate and it was fine, nothing to rave about. My other daughter had a cheese burger and fries and really liked it. The chips and salsa were really good. They have a creamy white salsa my wife really liked.

The good news is " Raymond's" report of food poisoning may be related to the room-temp ranch style of dressing ---Within 10 min. of leaving restaurant a member of our party had to pull over "lost his lunch"While another diner ate the exact same items omitting the ranch dressing. Other than that no complaints. The chicken soup was delicious.

We went here because it was our only option and there were definitely highs and lows. Highs: The staff was VERY friendly and helpful and we enjoyed them. The food was actually very good considering the town has 2 hispanics in it. The prices were reasonable. The margaritas were good enough. Lows: The decor was, uh, not great. It's very reminiscent of that divey mexican joint that everybody grew up visiting. We were the only ones there but the music was loud. The margaritas and food portions were HUGE. Like, way bigger than they should be. I'd go back, no problem, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

Great food, awesome service. I come here ones every two weeks and they remember what I get. If I wanted to I could pick this place apart, but we are human and everyone makes mistakes. I love the food and I'm happy when I come there. Thank you

No longer the Peppercorn Grill, the space is now a nice Mexican Restaurant. I believe this installation is a sister restaurant to one with the same moniker in Eagan. We had our first visit tonight, and we had a great meal. Our server, Jesus (not THE Jesus.. (purple jumpsuit sporting bowler or son of God)) was very attentive and kept us well stocked in free chips and salsa. Our meal came out maybe 10 minutes after ordering, barely giving us time to enjoy the tasty, reasonably priced Happy Hour margaritas. My family ordered off of the ala cart menu, picking a range of quesadillas and tacos. My wife enjoyed the tacos that she ordered, pointing out that they were not greasy. The kids mowed down their quesadillas like a ... well... kids that really enjoy cheese and starch. I opted for the Guadalajara Enchiladas. I was really pleased with the shredded pork and peppers in the dish. The guacamole salad was so-so - not made from fresh avocado, but certainly acceptable. It's nice to have an alternative to El Azteca out in the west-central 'burbs. I look forward to exploring the menu in the future.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. Excellent Food, and the friendliest service anywhere.

Good service, food is hit or miss. I have been here a few times and have liked it but have not been blown away by the food. The last time there my wife ordered fish tacos, which was a mistake at a joint like this. I think she had one bit. If you are looking for hearty Mexican comfort food, this place is. If you want fresh Mexican I would go somewhere else.

Great food and service. Love the tacos Parian. Fish is cooked perfectly with fresh avocado and pico de gallo. Kids meals are good sized, service is friendly. Fried ice cream, delish!

Not bad. Not great. The tomale was fabulous, but the enchiladas and tacos are nothing to go out of your way for. Prices are ok for the quality, which makes it an "ok" experience.

I went here for my birthday with my family and it was awesome. The margaritas are delish and everything is well priced. Everyone enjoyed the food they got (from chimichangas, to fajitas del mar). At the end of the meal, the servers came over, put a sombrero on my head, sang feliz cumpliaños and gave me a shot of tequila and a plate of sopapillas, it was a really nice surprise and great end to a great meal. What I liked: The service, the food, the price. I'll definitely be coming back here!

Food was terrible. I had Chile Relleno. I had to scrape the breading off because it was way to thick. The resulting sludge was really revolting. The person I had lunch with ordered a bean burrito that was a tortilla filled with refried beans and a little cheese and that's it!?! I asked the bar tender(we sat at the bar) if they had black or pinto beans and he replied that they had pinto beans not paying attention to the fact the "bean burrito" hadn't been touched. My stomach hurts. That place sucks.

It was a Wednesday night before an April 10th snowstorm. We wanted to grab a quick meal before the weather closed in. My friend had just told me about a new Mexican restaurant in Long Lake not far from Wayzata, MN. We looked up the menu on line and it looked like a place we wanted to try. Am I ever glad we did. Just a short drive for us and we were there. While looking at the menu the table across from us had one of the largest margaritas I have seen. My girl friend chose the smaller size. We ordered. The service was quick and outstanding. The food was even better. I chose the combination plate with a burrito, enchilada and a taco. It was the best I have had other than homemade! My friend had a platter of three enchiladas with pork. It was wonderful. Please give this new place a try. We want them to succeed since we plan on going back a lot. Best part is the prices are reasonable! Enjoy!

Very disappointing food...generic Americanized Mexican...I had the fish taco..the tilapia had a frozen taste to it...Will not go back

Took the fam for nine year old son's bday dinner. Margs were not great, very watered down, despite the $13 price tag for an upgraded tequila marg. Salsa tasted tomatoey and processed but lots of free warm chips and salsa. Guac was mild and ok. Burrito special was not anything special but enormous in size. Kids enjoyed quesadillas but again, nothing special. I would likely not return. Instead I would head to the edge of Eat Street and go to Salsa a la Salsa!

I was tempted to grade on a curve relative to other Mexican restaurants in the western 'burbs and give it a 4-star rating, but it's more accurately a solid 3. We both had enchiladas and chalupas. On the down side of the experience, the salsa was bland and tomatoey like something that you might get in a jar at the grocery store and the red sauce on the enchiladas tasted like it came out of a can. But we both thought the chalupas were fresh and tasty -- particularly the chicken one, but my beef one was good too. The staff was very friendly. Not much ambiance but it looked like they had a number of regulars at the bar so it seemed like a welcoming place. It's worth a return trip.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
